Congratulations to the Rockwall-Heath High School Choir on their record-breaking five students selected for the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-State Choir! The Heath Choir has never had more than one student make all-state in a single school year and has only had four students in total in the school’s history.

Dr. Gene Burton College and Career Academy students are gaining a competitive edge by utilizing A3 Lean Management, a powerful problem-solving tool used in industries worldwide.

The Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Jacob Payne at the principal of middle school #4. Mr. Jacob Payne has served Rockwall ISD as Associate Principal of Student Services and an assistant principal at Rockwall-Heath High School for the past seven years.

Rockwall-Heath High School honored more than 250 students for outstanding achievement in academics on Nov. 20, 2024. Students were recognized for their achievements in Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, National Merit and College Board, Superintendent Scholars, and Trustee awards.

More than $32,000 in innovative teaching grants were awarded to District educators for the 2024-2025 school year through the Rockwall ISD Education Foundation (REF).

Teacher Julie Byrnes at Billie Stevenson Elementary received a $300 grant from local Bimbo Bakeries this week. The Bimbo Bakeries team, along with mascot Osito, visited Mrs. Byrnes's classroom to present her with a check and lots of baked goods and treats!
